Flexible Software Distribution,   Inventory Management & Reporting, Plus  User Activity/URL Monitoring and Tracking.

CrossTec EMS (Enterprise Management System) Combines powerful Hardware and Software Inventory with Software Distribution and Application and Internet Metering along with optional PC Remote Control and more. CrossTec EMS ensures compliance with corporate configuration standards while simultaneously reducing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

CrossTec’s EMS provides a range of features to locate and Manage PCs and Users within a networked environment. Not only does EMS store key user data (Name, Telephone etc.) but it also provides detailed storage of supporting Asset, Lease and Maintenance data. In addition EMS provides the customer with the ability to customize the data to be gathered and collated from each user.

CrossTec EMS Benefits:

See what hardware is on, or has been added, to your Network

Locating PCs which need to be upgraded, or which may have non-company owned add-ons, just got easier. CrossTec EMS provides one of the most comprehensive and detailed cross-platform Hardware Inventory modules available. A wealth of information is provided for each PC ranging from CPU types and BIOS to memory and available memory slots.

Save money and trouble with accurate software inventory and metering
Organizations can reduce legal risks by maintaining compliance with software license agreements and save money by finding out which applications are not being used by which users. CrossTec EMS also includes Application Metering so you can track application use, including the time programs were started and finished and the actual time of use. Additionally, reports can be viewed and distributed at the "department" level. Application usage can also be restricted on target PCs – even by time of day.

Find out about changes in an instant
Identify any changes within the data gathered by CrossTec EMS across the overall enterprise, including alerts for: New PCs Added; Changes in key Hardware Inventory
Application installation, or removal. Application licensing warnings (i.e. total copies of Acrobat installed now exceeds company license limit). Internet and Application Metering behavior (access to restricted sites or applications attempted). Software Distribution delivery alerts (delivery fail, or advertised package used) and more.

See who is surfing which web sites
CrossTec’s EMS provides a detailed summary of Internet (or Intranet) user activity. Detailed reports let you know who is violating your Acceptable Use Policy or wasting valuable time on unproductive web activity.

Easy to use Software Distribution
CrossTec EMS makes it fast and easy keep your network PCs up to date. Administrators can define a software package to be deployed with either a collection of files, folders and appropriate action parameters once or by recording and scripting specific user prompts required during an application installation. Once created, the application package can be automatically "Pushed" to the target PCs for deployment or "Published" centrally on the EMS server – which makes them available for on-demand installation.

Hardware Inventory
A wealth of information for specific PCs is provided ranging from CPU types and BIOS to memory and memory slots used including those available for future expansion. Information is presented summarized by category, such as PCs by Operating System, CPU type or Memory. Inventory reports are displayed either for a single Client, Department, Dynamic Group or for the Company overall. Hardware Inventory frequency can be configured to run at different time intervals.

Application Metering
CrossTec EMS offers an Application / Internet Metering component which reports back all applications and web sites used on a target PC, detailing the time the application or URL was both started and finished and the actual time in use. Additionally, when the data is viewed at "department" level, summaries by frequency of use or by duration are shown.

Internet Metering To ensure that Internet usage complies with your Acceptable Use Policy, EMS lists Approved and Restricted URL's. These can easily be created and enforced by the Operator.  A Filter option identifies a website or a generic theme of sites by keyword. Internet activity information can even be ignored if active for less than a preset configurable time period.
