NEW CrossTec SchoolVue v9.0 adds many of the features you have requested. Besides full support for Microsoft Vista, SchoolVue v9.0 includes printer management to help you save money, keyboard logging to better keep students on-task, enhanced wireless support, USB drive blocking and much, much, more.

Control Printer Costs:

Students can be prevented from printing anything, be assigned page limits per lesson, or require teacher authorization.

The Print Management feature supports multiple printers within a classroom, prevents the addition, deletion or modification of existing printers and provides printing usage summaries for the class.

Device Control also protects data from being copied to removable drives.

SchoolVue v9 not only provides an on/off switch for drives but also provides you with additional settings. For example you can set it up so data can still be viewed on a USB Memory Stick or CD-ROM, but can be set to prevent downloading files from them.

CrossTec SchoolVue also provides new audio device control, allowing the teacher to disable the audio on all student systems with a single click. Perfect in a class of 30 noisy computers.

Superior Wireless Support:

Wireless student laptops can be located across a WAN, current network details can be identified, thus ensuring easy connection from a teacher’s class list. Monitor Student IM Use:

Internet control is provided across a wide range of browsers and the inclusion of partial URL filtering. Teachers can now provide access for students to selected pages on a website, but restrict access to other pages at the same site. Version 9 also includes the ability to block FTP access as standard.

New Student Assessment Features:

Windows Vista Support - CrossTec SchoolVue v9 is among the 1st lab management applications to support Microsoft Vista.
Create Custom Messages - CrossTec SchoolVue v9 now features the ability to create and store custom messages that can be saved to the tutor and displayed with a range of configurable alerts.
Show Mode Content Protection  - When the tutor is showing their computer to the class, they can elect to enable Internet restrictions on their own PC and therefore avoid visiting any unwanted websites by accident.
Feature Defaults - Set the default mode for key features such as Printer Control, Internet and Application Control at startup.
